New LEGO Mini Disney Disneyland castle rumoured

While the LEGO Mini Disney range has moved away from the theme parks recently, it's rumoured that the Disneyland castle may be next.

There may be another addition to the LEGO Mini Disney range in 2024 as Instagram user 1414falconfan reports that 40720 Mini Disney Sleeping Beauty Castle is coming in June 2024 with 528 pieces. For those unaware, the Sleeping Beauty castle is a name for the castle featured at Disneyland in Anaheim.

This would follow 40478 Mini Disney Castle, recreating the Magic Kingdom's Cinderella castle at Walt Disney World and 40521 Mini Disney The Haunted Mansion, recreating the front of the titular attraction at Disneyland.

More recent LEGO Disney models haven't been based on the theme parks, but classic Disney stories instead. Each has included a character, though the tradition of exclusive minifigures hasn't been kept up in 40613 Mini Disney Palace of Agrabah and 40708 Mini Disney Ariel's Castle.

Whether the rumoured 40720 Mini Disney Sleeping Beauty Castle could include a minifigure at all is unknown at the time of writing. At least we might know what to expect from such a set thanks to a design from The Horizoneer on Twitter, shared almost a year ago to the day.

Take this rumour with caution but should it be accurate, LEGO Mini Disney may be returning to depicting the Disney Parks soon.
