LEGO Marvel 76178 Daily Bugle teased arrival of Morbius

In 2023, a LEGO Marvel minifigures first teased in 76178 Daily Bugle will finally be released so keep your LEGO garlic and stakes handy.

One of the upcoming LEGO Marvel sets, 76244 Miles Morales vs. Morbius includes the first brick-built depiction of Morbius with a comic-inspired design that references the memorable movie too. However, LEGO Marvel enthusiasts may remember that a Morbius reference was featured in 76178 Daily Bugle long before this set's release on January 1.

Launch in 2021, the reception area of 76178 Daily Bugle included a TV with a news announcement reporting on someone spotting Morbius on the subway, with a side story that garlic supplies have hit an all-time low.

While the design on this Morbius Easter egg and the physical 2023 minifigure isn't exactly the same, it's interesting to see that the LEGO Marvel design team have live up to the 2021 tease after all this time. You'll be able to get your hands on the Morbius minifigure as part of 76244 Miles Morales vs. Morbius. Note that this set is just one of seven upcoming LEGO Marvel sets for 2023 though.
