LEGO may be learning from Star Wars 75324 Dark Trooper Attack

New rumours for LEGO Star Wars in 2024 suggest that some lessons are being learned from the retiring 75324 Dark Trooper Attack.

Another LEGO Star Wars hallway model is rumoured for 2024 as more details for 75387 Tantive IV Hallway have surfaced via Promobricks’ Max Börnicke. The reports state that the 2024 creation could stand 22cm tall and connect with multiple copies of the set. It's believed to be a slice of corridor with various play features that can recreate the opening scene from A New Hope.

While this rumour has yet to be officially confirmed and should be taken with caution, the concept of the build may sound familiar to seasoned LEGO Star Wars enthusiasts.

75324 Dark Trooper Attack is a similar model, but based on The Mandalorian Season 2 instead. It's nowhere near as tall as 75387 Tantive IV Hallway is rumoured to be, but other parts of the report suggest that the LEGO Group may have learnt some lessons since the 2022 model.

That's not to say that there's anything wrong with how 75324 Dark Trooper Attack is designed – as a smaller play set based on a scene from The Mandalorian Season 2. However, the LEGO Star Wars community's reaction to the model may not have been exactly what the Star Wars team was expecting.

Soon after launch, the community was quick to combine multiple copies of the model with various unofficial designs to create a more substantial set. However, it sounds like this will be available without any modifications in the rumoured 2024 creation. The integration of play features may be borrowing from 75324 Dark Trooper Attack slightly too.

These two concepts seem so familiar that there's at least one depiction of the Tantiva IV hallway opening scene inspired by 75324 Dark Trooper Attack as well.

75387 Tantive IV Hallway is just one of many LEGO Star Wars models rumoured for 2024, but keep in mind that these are all unconfirmed at the time of writing.
