The start of the LEGO Ideas' Yu-Gi-Oh! partnership needs a certain monster to get a set, and that's exactly what one fan has proposed in their entry.
The LEGO Group has entered a partnership with Shueisha to create a future LEGO Ideas Yu-Gi-Oh! set, opening a contest earlier this month to let fans pitch this inevitable model. The It’s Time To Duel! challenge has 66 entries at the time of writing, and just over two weeks remain to enter your submission before the contest moves forward on March 10.
Most of these entries focus on the monsters and cards from the series, and Jteisberg has submitted one such creation. They've opted to recreate one of the most unusual cards in the franchise, Blockman.

Blockman debuted in 2004 and is striking for being made out of plastic, interlocking pieces. It's essentially a parody of LEGO elements, in a humanoid form, and the perfect way to represent both LEGO and Yu-Gi-Oh! It's far from the most iconic monster in the franchise, but we can only hope that Blockman will be at least referenced in the eventual LEGO Ideas model, whether Jteisberg's submission is selected or not.
You can enter the competition here before March 10, and the fan vote to decide the LEGO Yu-Gi-Oh! set will start on April 14. The winner will then be announced in September. While we wait for this contest to move to the next stage, don't forget to enter the student challenge, provided you are eligible.
