LEGO Ideas Finding Nemo – First Day of School trawls up 10K supporters

Successfully swimming to 10,000 supporters, Finding Nemo – First Day of School is the latest LEGO Ideas design to join the first review of 2024.

Things are looking a bit cramped in the first LEGO Ideas review of 2024, with nearly 30 fan-created submissions battling it out to become physical sets at some point. Now joining that ever-expanding line-up of models is Finding Nemo – First Day of School from aspiring builder Dani_Fus.

Although no specific piece count has been revealed for Finding Nemo – First Day of School, the set looks be packed with colourful sea creatures and plenty of plant life. Based on the 2003 animated Disney Pixar movie, the latest LEGO Ideas submission is bursting with colour and a real sense of fun, presenting a very polished fan-made model.

Finding Nemo – First Day of School features a brick-built coral reef diorama scene from the film, complete with tiny versions of Nemo, Sheldon, Tad and Pearl all taking a ride on the back of their stingray teacher, Mr Ray.

The submission follows hot on the fins of yet another underwater-themed LEGO Ideas design, Rocky Reef Restoration. The two fan creations will now go head-to-head, when the theme’s team judging all of the successful entries and announcing the lucky winners later this year.
