LEGO Harry Potter Ministry of Magic D2C rumoured for 2026

This year’s direct-to-consumer LEGO Harry Potter set is rumoured to tackle the Ministry of Magic on an unprecedented scale.

Instagram user unibricks reports that 76XXX Ministry of Magic D2C will join the Wizarding World line-up in September 2026, with roughly 4,000 pieces in the box. That’s in line with the release date of every LEGO Harry Potter direct-to-consumer set (i.e. those models launched only at LEGO.com, in LEGO Stores and occasionally selected third-party retailers) so far, as September 1 marks the start of the new Hogwarts school year.

Circa 4,000 pieces sounds pretty hefty too, although it would actually make 76XXX Ministry of Magic D2C only the fifth-biggest Potter set to date, behind 71043 Hogwarts Castle, 75978 Diagon Alley, 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition and 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition. Still, it’s far beyond the piece count of our one and only Ministry of Magic set.

That is 2022’s 76403 Ministry of Magic, a 990-piece playset that includes nine minifigures based on the scene in the Deathly Hallows that sees Harry, Ron and Hermione infiltrate the government building to find a Horcrux. There’s no word yet on whether this rumoured new set will take inspiration from the same scene or the events of the Order of the Phoenix – but the piece count opens the door to both in the same set...
