LEGO Fortnite's next update could expand farming

A new update could be being teased for LEGO Fortnite, possibly expanding on a core component of the game present on day one of the mode.

Vehicles may seem fairly fresh to LEGO Fortnite still but it may already be time for the survival crafting mode's next update. An odd new video on X (formerly Twitter) from the official LEGO Fortnite account features discussions of animals living in villages and a sheep following a player towards their home.

Currently, interacting with friendly animals in LEGO Fortnite will only provide you with resources though the video suggests that this could be expanded on soon. Being able to add animals to your village without simply trapping them in a fenced area could be a small part of a larger LEGO Fortnite farming update.

The extent of farming within LEGO Fortnite currently consists of harvesting plants and crops and animals could add a more reliable method of gaining resources as well as another level of interaction with villagers.

While this video may not be a teaser for a future farming update, it's worth noting that a silo and what appears to be new planters are featured in the video too as well as farm-centric LEGO Styles.

For now, nothing has been confirmed for the future of LEGO Fortnite beyond LEGO Star Wars content coming early next month for May the 4th.
