LEGO puts Ferrari drivers to the test building Technic set in a wind tunnel

The LEGO Group and Ferrari joined forces to put their Formula 1 drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, to the ultimate building test.

The LEGO Group and Scuderia Ferrari HP have come together for a challenge of determination like no other, putting Formula 1 drivers Sir Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc on a mission to assemble the LEGO Technic 42207 Ferrari SF-24 F1 Car in their own LEGO wind tunnel. Under the watchful and mischievous eyes of their team principal, Fred Vasseur, the pair were charged with building the 1,361-piece set with wind blowing LEGO pieces around the tunnel.

Wind tunnels are central to developing some of the most legendary Ferrari cars in racing history, so it was fitting for a wind tunnel to star as the backdrop of this test of speed and teamwork. Despite the challenges, the drivers are able to show off some of the LEGO car's authentic details, like an opening DRS, Pirelli printed slick tires and a V6 engine with a spinning MGU-H.
