LEGO Education kits donated to children in Cheshire

LEGO Education has donated 20,000 starter kits to benefit children in Cheshire. The Winsford Guardian reports the news that approximately 20,000 children will get their hands on a LEGO Education starter kit after a donation to Cheshire West and Chester Council. The sets have been targeted at the council’s integrated early support and fostering and adoption services.

Cllr Nicole Meardon, cabinet member for children and families, said: “We are delighted to receive the kits and would like to thank Lego Education for their generous donation. We will be distributing the packs to local children and families who work with our integrated early support service, children’s social care and fostering and adoption team.

“Our first priority in our council plan – ‘Helping the Borough to Thrive’ - is to ensure our children, families and young people get the best start in life. The kits will encourage children to think creatively and reason systematically, making learning inspiring and engaging.”

LEGO Education is the arm of the LEGO Group dedicated to developing products for educators that fit with the school curriculum.
