LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 sets enter review stage

With fan voting having closed yesterday, a select number of LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 sets have now entered the review stage.

Those looking to pick up one of three remaining LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 2 sets can still do so, with a trio of fan-made builds funded but yet to sell out. Pre-orders for each of the models have a maximum limit of 30,000 per design, but once June 30, 2024 rolls around, all will be gone for good.

In addition to those Series 2 sets, fan voting for LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 ended yesterday, with a total of 305 models shortlisted. Of those, a select handful will now move onto the review stage, where the BrickLink team will check every design for building experience, brand fit and crowd favourites.

Those awaiting the results of which LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 5 sets will be available for crowdfunding can expect to find out on August 19, 2024. On that date, five lucky models will once again be chosen to become physical sets, with the BrickLink team working with the designer of each submission to prepare them for production.

Beyond that, BrickLink will also collaborate with the Model Governance and Building Instructions teams to make any final adjustments to the builds that may be required, before locking down the designs for pre-production by May 1, 2025.

Before then, crowdfunding for LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 2 will begin on October 8, 2024, followed by LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 4 on February 1, 2025.
