A project inspired by Claude Monet that wouldn't look out of place in LEGO Art has gained 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas.
Designed by Larry_land1, Claude Monet's Water Lilies has gained 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas, moving one step closer to becoming a future set. It recreates one of the Impressionist's most famous series in LEGO bricks, using a mixture of plates, tiles, and other LEGO pieces to mimic the soft gradients of the original work. The collection of works is designed to be viewed together, with this LEGO project inspired by Les Nuages, Les Deux Saules and Reflets Verts.
The original display, currently available to view at the Musée de l'Orangerie in Paris, stands seven feet tall, but the brick-built version is naturally a lot smaller – although doesn't skimp on detail.
Claude Monet's Water Lilies becomes the 18th project in the first LEGO Ideas review of the year. Check out the 17 other sets in contention in the table below.
