The recent LEGO 75419 Death Star is currently scheduled to outlast every other Star Wars set on shelves – even 75192 Millennium Falcon.
An update to the list of LEGO Star Wars sets retiring in 2025 and beyond yesterday saw several 2025 models have their lifespans extended by at least six months, and one set has been moved to make sure it lasts longer than any other release. 75419 Death Star was originally scheduled to retire at the end of 2027, following its reveal this summer, which is at least one year more than any other release in the theme. Yesterday, this date changed to the end of 2028 as many other 2025 sets saw their retirement dates moved to July and December 2027. This ensured that 75419 Death Star would still be on shelves for at least a year more than any other set in the theme.
The current slate of LEGO retirement dates indicates that 75419 Death Star will even outlast 75192 Millennium Falcon, which is currently scheduled for retirement in December 2026. That's just shy of a decade-long lifespan, but even an extension by one year will put it behind 75419 Death Star.
It suggests that 75419 Death Star is intended to be the new 75192 Millennium Falcon, but whether the most expensive LEGO Star Wars set so far will last longer on shelves than the UCS Millennium Falcon has yet to be seen.
