LEGO Star Wars
Make no mistake, LEGO Star Wars 75357 Ghost & Phantom II on its own is one set. While the background of the box art features another ship, everything you see is included in one package.
However, these two ships have had models before in two separate Star Wars: Rebels sets. 75053 The Ghost from 2014 and 75170 The Phantom from 2017 have their differences to 75357 Ghost & Phantom II, including a much smaller Phantom II.
Despite this, the retired sets aren’t cheap on the secondary market so for many, 75357 Ghost & Phantom II could be a good chance to catch up.
| Retired LEGO Star Wars set | RRP | Pieces | Minifigures | BrickLink average price (new) over last six months | BrickLink average price (used) over last six months |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 75053 The Ghost | £69.99 / $89.99 / €99.99 | 914 | 4 | £548.59 | £248.80 |
| 75170 The Phantom | £39.99 / $29.99 / €39.99 | 256 | 3 | £ 181.09 | £105.12 |
The upcoming 75357 Ghost & Phantom II may result in less demand for the retired models, though 75170 The Phantom’s inclusion of Admiral Thrawn may lessen this.
Combining the retired LEGO sets, they would cost you £729.68 for new copies on BrickLink or £353.92 for used ones.
While we’re not certain of international pricing yet, assuming 75357 Ghost & Phantom II follows a similar pricing pattern to 75253 The Justifier also at $259.99 in Australia, it could be around £149.99 / $169.99 / €169.99. It’s worth noting that the 2023 model has 1,394 pieces, more than that of both retired builds combined too.
That’s considerably less than the retired sets on the secondary market used. Despite the fewer and missing minifigures due to the different source materials, we shall have to see if the new iterations of the Star Wars: Rebels ships in one set can affect the demand for the retired builds.
