LEGO Minecraft 21275 The TNT Jungle House struggles to impress with too few TNT blocks for too small an explosion, despite some potential.
Exploding features are nothing new to LEGO Minecraft, with tens of sets in the theme's decade-spanning history including such a function. 21275 The TNT Jungle House's name implies that it should have been the crowning achievement of the explosion-centric sets, but the model misses the mark with an overly simplistic feature that needs more bang for your buck.

The design of LEGO Minecraft's 21275 The TNT Jungle House implies that the entire house is made up of TNT blocks, but over the past decade of LEGO Minecraft, it has been solidified that such blocks always use printed pieces with a TNT design. By this logic, the TNT house only features four blocks of TNT with an additional block to the side.
While the TNT prints would have been necessary, it's disappointing to see such a small number of TNT blocks in a house that is implied to be made up of them. Fittingly, the explosion feature isn't quite as grandiose as you might expect, with only the side walls and ceiling being blown off. Four blocks of TNT aren't even enough to blow the door off the house. That's not to mention that the model looks more like a red velvet cake than a house made of TNT.
The builds surrounding the TNT house are acceptable, but there's not much to identify the jungle beyond the tree to the right. It doesn't help that the interior of the house is almost completely bare, as well. For the price tag of £24.99 / $29.99 / €29.99, even with 287 pieces, 21275 The TNT Jungle House is ultimately underwhelming.
The minifigure and creature selection doesn't help increase the set's appeal either. It's almost as basic as can be with normal Steve, a Creeper and a Zombie, as well as a much more uncommon parrot. The set would have benefited from a rarer variant of the Creeper, either charged or mid-explosion, as LEGO Minecraft has done before. Such a minifigure would have been right at home in this set concept, too.
As it stands, your money can go much further within LEGO Minecraft than 21275 The TNT Jungle House this summer. There are only a few reasons to recommend this model to all but the most dedicated LEGO Minecraft collectors, who seek only to tick a set name off a list.
Our honest opinion: LEGO Minecraft's most explosive model yet misses the mark with not enough removable parts for the main function, failing to live up to its lofty premise.
