This might be your last chance to buy these five retiring LEGO sets

Retiring LEGO sets are rapidly going out of stock on the official LEGO store but some third-party retailers are offering what could be the last chance to buy them.

As we get closer and closer to the end of the year, stock levels on retiring sets are likely to waver. Just because the retirement date isn't technically until December 31, that doesn't mean sets will stay in stock until then.

That means that if there are certain sets that you'll be kicking yourself for missing out on in 2025, now is the time to grab them while you can. Indeed, it's already too late on certain sets if you're planning on shopping at LEGO.com, with big hitters like 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina dipping in and out of stock.

Thankfully, third-party retailers do still have stock of some retiring LEGO sets that are marked 'Temporarily out of stock' on LEGO.com, offering what could be the last chance to snap them up. This late in the year, there are no guarantees of sets coming back into stock – so now is the time to buy while you can.

LEGO Marvel 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum lifestyle featured 1024x576

Starting off with 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum, this LEGO Marvel modular building has sold out in the UK – but can still be found at RRP at Disney Store. Even better, you can score a 16% discount at Amazon in a flash sale if you move quickly, bringing the price down to just £179.99. With 2,708 pieces, the set is compatible with other modular buildings, meaning it will slot right into your LEGO city and add a dash of superhero magic.

75371 Chewbacca was released to a mixed response that means he's leaving shelves fairly rapidly. A 30% discount on LEGO.com helped him disappear from the official online store but you can still add him to your collection for £161.99 by shopping at Zavvi, saving yourself £18 on the RRP.

Throw it back to the OG Avengers with 76248 The Avengers Quinjet, currently sold out at LEGO.com but available for 20% off at Amazon. That includes almost all of the original Avengers in minifigure form: Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow, and Captain America, with Loki on the side for a bit of villainy.

LEGO Star Wars 75364 New Republic E-Wing vs. Shin Hati’s Starfighter

LEGO Star Wars 75364 New Republic E Wing vs. Shin Hatis Starfighter featured 1024x576

Two ships are better than one, that's what we always say – and the minifigures in 75364 New Republic E-Wing vs. Shin Hati’s Starfighter aren't bad either. We're likely not ever going to see some of these characters as minifigures again, particularly Baylan Skoll and the New Republic Astromech Droid, but also perhaps Shin Hati and Captain Porter, depending on where future seasons of Ahsoka might go. If you don't want to miss out, Amazon is one of the only places you can still pick up the LEGO Star Wars set – and for £25 less.

LEGO Star Wars 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina

Anyone who's seen 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina up close can testify to the level of detail of this Master Builder Series set and it's been dipping in and out of stock on LEGO.com at a rate that should worry any LEGO Star Wars fan who doesn't yet own it. Thankfully, Sports Direct does still have stock, and for less than RRP – a whole £1 less, but we'll take any discount we can get.
