Key takeaways from LEGO BrickLink Series 6 ahead of Series 7

The sales numbers for each LEGO set in Series 6 of the BrickLink Designer Program reveal some key takeaways for fans ahead of Series 7.

The final sales numbers for the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 6 sets have been discovered, revealing just how well each of the five builds sold, and how popular the Castle creation was in comparison to those of the previous series. You can see the sales numbers for yourself below, taken from the source code of the BrickLink Designer Program website, and published by StoneWars.

The end of Series 6 puts us just under four months away from crowdfunding for Series 7, and the sales offer some helpful insights to consumers ahead of the next pre-order phase.

The first is that sales numbers overall were the lowest of any series so far, but given that this comes after the hugely popular Series 5, that doesn't necessarily mean that the BrickLink Designer Program is becoming less popular over time. Don't assume that Series 7 will see another dip in sales, especially when you consider the subjects covered in the five finalists of Series 7.

The Alchemist's Shop will sufficiently fit into a fantastical Castle world, likely attracting the same crowd as the likes of 910057 Outlaw Forest Den and 910049 Adventure in Transylvania. These sets sold 45,036 and 49,084 copies respectively, far surpassing the rest of the builds in their series. You can probably assume that Alchemist's Shop will be the most popular of the Series 7 sets, but there's another nostalgic theme being covered in Series 7 that may draw a similarly large crowd.

The huge Privateer Frigate Fortuna is likely to be a pricey set come February next year and it will be only the third Pirates-adjacent build in the program, following 910038 Ominous Isle from Series 2 and 910053 The Thieves of Tortuga from Series 5. Those sets sold 20,081 and 33,127 copies respectively. As a full ship, the Privateer Frigate Fortuna may be more appealing than the location-based models before it. It's unlikely to be quite as popular as any kind of castle creation, but it's one to keep an eye on come February 2026.

W.A.L.T. The Little Robot is the smallest of the finalists in Series 7 and is therefore likely to be the most affordable, similar to 910056 Off-road Adventure. The Series 6 set sold 13,980 copies overall, and this signals that W.A.L.T. The Little Robot is unlikely to sell out in the seventh series. Neither Sushi Restaurant nor Antique Collection seem to have a high potential of selling out either based on the sales in Series 6.

Should Privateer Frigate Fortuna be a hit next February alongside Alchemist's Shop, this may allow the BrickLink team a chance to drastically increase production for two sets to a maximum of 50,000 copies, rather than just one as seen in previous series. That's only speculation on our part, but based on the data it's a plausible possibility for the team.

The main takeaway from the sales numbers for Series 6 is that the real-time production allocation strategy has so far eliminated any chance of sets selling out before the end of crowdfunding, giving everyone an equal opportunity to pre-order these limited-edition builds.

Crowdfunding for Series 7 starts on February 1, 2026, and you can see some changes made to the fan designs by clicking here. In the meantime, the finalists for Series 9 will be announced on November 19.
