Take a look at the many massive and unique models inside the world's new biggest LEGO store, now open in Sydney, Australia.
Located at Sydney Arcade, the new flagship LEGO store in Sydney opened its doors late last week but images of the unique models inside the LEGO store have been harder to find. However, for those who can't make it to Australia anytime soon, the LEGO Group has now published a gallery of images from inside the massive shop and more.
“This world-class retail offering creates a new landmark for local families and LEGO fans from around the world," states Richard Facioni, Executive Chairman at Alquemie Group. “We invite fans to step into a world beyond their imagination, including brick-built playful nods to Australian culture and inspiring, interactive experiences.”
Featured big builds inside the store include a downscaled Sydney Harbour Bridge using 549,378 bricks that took 3,630 hours to build. Those visiting can spot a variety of animals on the bridge referencing its history, including Bridget who represents the many white cats that lived on the bridge during the 50s.
There's also a Sydney Opera House mosaic made up of 303,719 bricks that model designs spent 1,058 hours putting together. The press release teases a mystery brick to locate within the mosaic too.
Similar to many other LEGO stores, the new Sydney location includes Australia's first Minifigure Factory, a Storytelling Table, a Pick and Build Wall as well as the usual hands-on play opportunities and monthly events.

Other LEGO flagship stores feature an interactive LEGO tree near the front of the store with a suite of displays and scenes to investigate. It appears that the Sydney location has a different kind of tree though. A Rainbow Gum Tree is displayed in the shop made up of 183,394 bricks. Model designers spent 1,271 hours building it and, though you may not be able to tell from the images, this tree stretches across both floors of the store and features a variety of native Australian fauna.
The new Sydney LEGO store is open now and takes the title of the world's biggest LEGO store, which has previously been held by the Leicester Square store.
