How LEGO Star Wars 75367 UCS Venator was made

The process of making LEGO Star Wars 75367 Venator's huge model may be a mystery to some, but thankfully its designers are on hand to explain.

The Clone Wars and prequel trilogy are back in LEGO Star Wars once again with the colossal 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser, available now for  £559.99 / $649.99 / €649.99. The process of designing a set, especially one with 5,374 and a length of 109cm, is a long and arduous process, but one that the designs of the new Ultimate Collector Series LEGO Star Wars set are here to explain.

Our latest YouTube video has everything you need to know about this process and the secrets behind the massive Star Wars set. Consider subscribing for more LEGO videos soon and find the best LEGO Star Wars deals on our dedicated Black Friday page for the theme.

From the Technic structure inside, which has caused the model to be hollow without modification, to the decision behind the precise gaps in the shell of 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser, the LEGO Star Wars design team have put a lot of thought into this model – not to mention its minifigures.

"The most difficult part was the one I saved for last – the red stripe – it had to be very flat but stick out from the hull a little bit and it also has this angle and I wanted it to be smooth," mentions Hans Burkhard Schlömer "As a LEGO model, it has to be stable during all phases of the build, not just when it's finished and that together was a big challenge."

This new LEGO Star Wars set is available now from the official online store and physical LEGO stores too. You can read our detailed review and take a closer look at the model by clicking here.
