Four new LEGO October releases you might have overlooked

In all the first-of-the-month madness, don't overlook some of these less-talked-about October LEGO releases amid the rest.

October 1 saw the release of some of the biggest releases of the year. That's literally, in the case of 75419 Death Star, and in terms of anticipation, with the annual Winter Village release with 10361 Holiday Express Train.

However, there are quite a few LEGO sets hitting shelves today – and a few that you might have overlooked.

LEGO Botanicals 10374 Bouquet of Pink Roses

First up is 10374 Bouquet of Pink Roses. If you don't already own its predecessor, 10328 Bouquet of Roses, this is another shining example of LEGO Botanicals doing what it does best. Each rose has been carefully thought out with creative parts use and the new pink colour scheme really pops for a brighter look than the more traditional red.

LEGO Ideas 21362 Mineral Collection

Two LEGO Ideas sets were released this month and, while 21361 Gizmo may have stolen people's hearts, 21362 Mineral Collection deserves some commotion as well. Each mineral has been artfully recreated not just in colour but also in shape with some nifty building techniques. From afar, they can almost pass for real minerals, while up close you can appreciate the LEGO magic.

LEGO Wednesday 76785 Thing's Apartment

Castle fans, attention! 76785 Thing's Apartment is a secret asset for your minifigures or spare accessories. Remove the Wednesday branding and you've got the perfect secret LEGO storage space, thanks to the simple but effective build techniques that hinge open to reveal two layers of display-ready shelves within.

LEGO 40809 Festive Gingerbread House

While two LEGO festive releases have already gone on back order in the UK, meaning it'll be hard to get hold of them online before Christmas, there's another LEGO exclusive that can come in time for Christmas. 40809 Festive Gingerbread House is pure LEGO fun that looks good enough to eat, opening up to reveal Santa's sanctuary within.
