Five ways LEGO fans can celebrate Marvel's Spider-Man 2

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is out and though its only LEGO minifigures are expensive on the aftermarket, there are still a few ways to mark its release.

While there are no dedicated sets for the PlayStation Spider-Man game series ready for its third title's release today – Marvel's Spider-Man 2. The wall-crawler is a prominent figure in Marvel and has inspired a pair of limited-edition minifigures that fetch some high prices on the secondary market.

For most, the chances of picking up these specific minifigures are slim, unless you have approximately $2,000 to spare. However, there are still a few ways to celebrate the release of the game as the LEGO Group's catalogue of Spider-Man sets coincidentally matches much of the new game.

Without any notable spoilers for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, here are five significantly cheaper things LEGO fans can buy to celebrate the new PlayStation title, whether you need to take a break from playing or want more LEGO Spider-Man in your collection.

5 – Buildable figures

The trio of LEGO Spider-Man figures, 76226 Spider-Man Figure, 76225 Miles Morales Figure and 76230 Venom Figure just so happen to line up with the three major characters in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, as revealed in trailers. You can display it in your home in place of, or alongside the collector's edition statue and even add some white bricks to 76226 Spider-Man Figure to reflect the Advanced suit.

4 – Wall-crawling artwork

The newer 31209 The Amazing Spider-Man is a unique LEGO Art model to hang around your home, in case you're running out of space to display your LEGO sets on shelves. 3 – More Venom

Anyone looking for more Venom after playing the game may want to consider the retiring 76187 Venom head bust before it leaves shelves at the end of 2023. As an alternative to the collector's edition statue, this model measures over seven inches tall in comparison, making it easier to find a place for on your desk or shelf.

2 – Expensive minifigures

Those willing to part with some funds to pick up a few retired LEGO minifigures can grab some suits and characters from Marvel's Spider-Man 2 that are now retired. This is as well as Venom, Miles and Peter which can all be found in currently-available sets.
