Five things we spotted in the LEGO Harry Potter summer 2022 sets

We're off to the Wizarding World with new LEGO Harry Potter sets later this year as a new wave filled with things to find is on the horizon.

From the first Deathly Hallows set to a baby Thestral, There's a lot of fresh content to explore in the upcoming wave of LEGO Harry Potter. You can find out more information on prices and included minifigures in our initial report.

Once you've caught up on the latest LEGO reveal, read below for five things we found in the summer 2022 Wizarding World models:

5 – Fantastic beasts

The fact that these seven sets were revealed on release day for the new Fantastic Beasts film is no mere coincidence, as lots of creatures are revisited in the new builds, including another opportunity to get Buckbeak and the third appearance of Thestrals, and the first of a baby Thestral.

4 – New scenes

From the feature-focused 76408 12 Grimmauld Place to the initial Deathly Hallows model – 76403 The Ministry of Magic. These models represent scenes never seen before in LEGO Harry Potter in dedicated builds.

4=3 – The moon

As a bonus, but largely unnecessary detail, the LEGO Harry Potter design team even included a glowing moon in 76407 The Shrieking Shack & Whomping Willow to help recreate Remus Lupin's transformation into a werewolf.

2 – Another house-elf

Dobby isn't the only house-elf in LEGO Harry Potter anymore as Kreacher joins the LEGO Harry Potter theme for the first time in 76408 12 Grimmauld Place.

1 – A minifigure-scale displayable beast

LEGO Harry Potter 76406 Hungarian Horntail Dragon 3 1024x696

76406 Hungarian Horntail Dragon is undoubtedly meant to replicate the design strategy of both 75979 Hedwig and 76394 Fawkes, Dumbledore's Phoenix. However, they both represented the birds at a larger, but not quite life-sized scale. 76406 Hungarian Horntail Dragon deviates from that by providing an accurate depiction of the dragon at minifigure-scale, but still at a similar size to both other models.
