Five super secrets we’ve spotted in LEGO Marvel 76269 Avengers Tower

LEGO Marvel 76269 Avengers Tower is packed with all kinds of superhero secrets and here are five we’re already managed to spot.

LEGO Marvel fans will need to start saving up right now, as 76269 Avengers Tower will be released on November 24, with the massive model priced at £429.99 / $499.99 / €499.99. Boasting 5,201 pieces and standing over 90cm on a 32x32-stud baseplate, it will be the largest LEGO Marvel build released to date and one that includes a whopping 31 figures.

Thanks to its size and piece count, 76269 Avengers Tower manages to pack plenty onto its exterior and into its interior. That includes nods to multiple MCU movies and appearances from some characters who were never even glimpsed hanging around the iconic location (we’re looking at you, Wong).

With that in mind, we're taking a deep five into the upcoming LEGO Marvel set and here are five super secrets we’re already spotted tucked away in 76269 Avengers Tower:

Nick Fury’s Captain Marvel pager

It’s a little tricky to see in this image, but located around the back of 76269 Avengers Tower is Nick Fury’s pager on the ground. The former head of S.H.I.E.L.D. activated the device at the climax of Avengers: Infinity War to summon Captain Marvel, although a minifigure of Carol Danvers is missing from this set.

The Tesseract

Stolen by Loki in The Avengers and used to open a wormhole for the Chitauri to attack New York, the Tesseract can also be spotted within 76269 Avengers Tower. In the movie the crystalline cube contains the Space Stone, one of six Infinity Stones being hunted by Thanos.

The Battle of New York memorial plaque

Outside the building is a memorial plaque commemorating the Battle of New York, as witnessed in The Avengers. We suspect this may be a stickered piece, but it’s hard to tell at this point. Details on the plaque list the real names of all the Avengers who were present at the event.

The Battle of New York is also referenced on the front of a newspaper that can be seen on a table in one of the interior rooms. The title of the publication appears to be the New York Bulletin, although we’d have preferred it to be the Daily Bugle, for true Marvel Comics accuracy.

The Avengers Issue 1

The press release for 76269 Avengers Tower states that the set is a celebration of the 60th anniversary of the very first issue of The Avengers, which debuted in September 1963. In fact it looks like a LEGO recreation of the same landmark comic book is also included in the set, glimpsed on the floor on one of the upper levels.
