Numerous LEGO sets of all sizes and shapes will be arriving on January 1, 2025 and here are five of the biggest by piece count.
There are mere days to go until January 1, a date that will see multiple LEGO models launching online and in stores. Included in the veritable tidal wave of new releases for 2025 will be builds for all budgets, plus many large-scale sets for those with enough room to display them.
With that in mind, we’re shining a spotlight on five of the biggest LEGO models for the New Year by piece count. While there are a number of big builds releasing on January 1, the sets below should prove to be stand-out additions to any collection.
5 – 80065 Erlang’s Celestial Mech
Theme: Monkie Kid Price: £69.99 / $89.99 / €79.99 Piece count: 806

Yet another mighty machine will be added to the LEGO Monkie Kid theme in 2025, this time in the form of
4 – 10355 Blacktron Renegade
Theme: Icons Price: £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 Piece count: 1,151

The LEGO Icons design team has recreated a blast from the past with 10355 Blacktron Renegade. Coming in at 1,151 pieces, the black and yellow vehicle should tick plenty of retro boxes, complete with a modular design for multiple play and display options.
In addition to three Blacktron minifigures and a droid figure, the LEGO Icons set can be assembled as one of two different 1980s models, 6954 Renegade or 6876 Alienator. Be sure to check out everything you need to know about 10355 Blacktron Renegade in our in-depth review.
3 – 80116 Trotting Lantern
Theme: Seasonal Price: £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 Piece count: 1,295

Celebrating the Year of the Snake in 2025, 80116 Trotting Lantern is a striking and detailed 1,295-piece build that also arrives on January 1. The seasonal LEGO set is packed with nods to traditional Chinese culture and comes with five unique minifigures.
Also included in 80116 Trotting Lantern is a light brick that can be used in conjunction with a selection of silhouette windows in the model. Three festive scenes can be constructed in the upper tier and a removable top section allows for easy access to the interior.
2 – 10359 Fountain Garden
Theme: Icons Price: £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 Piece count: 1,302

New to the LEGO Icons theme in 2025 is 10359 Fountain Garden, a 1,302-piece set that offers up a tiny slice of Mediterranean living. Filled with flora and terracotta, the build boasts a decorative tiled pathway, white columned pergolas and numerous plants and flowers.
Intricately-detailed, 10359 Fountain Garden certainly looks the part, but isn’t that sturdy. More of a display rather than play model, the LEGO Icons set does slightly feel like a barebones presentation, as mentioned in out review right here.
1 – 10350 Tudor Corner
Theme: Icons Price: £199.99 / $229.99 / €229.99 Piece count: 3,266

The latest addition to the LEGO Modular Buildings Collection, 10350 Tudor Corner stands over 31cm tall and arrives with 3,266 pieces and eight minifigures. Inside the distinctly British build you’ll find an inn/pub, a haberdasher’s, a clockmaker’s workshop and a snug office flat, all complimented with stunning period architecture.
10350 Tudor Corner is packed with detail and storytelling, as you’ll discover in our review of the set here. The LEGO Icons model is a truly stand-out build with which to kickstart 2025 and easily one of the best modulars we’ve seen to date.
