We've got our first look at the third LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog set coming in 2025, marking the debut of the Metal Sonic minifigure.
Thanks to German retailer Galeria, the first official photos of LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog 77002 Cyclone vs. Metal Sonic have appeared online, alongside a confirmed piece count of 290 and a European price of €29.99. A previous rumour has also suggested a US price of $34.99, prior to the set being confirmed through the official Building Instructions page.
The most exciting part of the set is the new minifigure for Metal Sonic, the Badnik counterpart to the Blue Blur. He appears to have a new torso, alongside of course a new design for his head with the red eyes Metal Sonic is known for.
The set also includes a Tails minifigure, as well as the brick-built mech, featuring articulated legs and a turret with a stud shooter. The mech can also switch into flight mode by folding up its legs and rotating them forward, as evidenced through pictures on the back of the box.
Galeria doesn't offer any further indication of a release date, but the set was previously thought to be coming out alongside 77001 Sonic’s Campfire Clash and 77003 Super Shadow vs. Biolizard in January 2025. Check out all the 2025 LEGO sets confirmed and rumoured so far here.
