The upcoming LEGO Animal Crossing theme will be getting its first polybag in 2024, thanks to confirmation on the Product Certification page.
The LEGO Group recently revealed its second collaboration with Nintendo, with five LEGO Animal Crossing sets due to launch on March 1. The line-up of models releasing on that date includes
Nintendo fans who have been clamouring for the LEGO Super Mario theme to include minifigures should also have plenty to be happy about with the arrival of LEGO Animal Crossing. The sets include eight exclusive characters with new head moulds, each of which represents an island villager in the popular social simulation video game.
Now another minifigure will be joining them, with confirmation of the first LEGO Animal Crossing polybag arriving in 2024. Details have been revealed on the LEGO Group’s Product Certification page, which now lists 30662 Maple’s Pumpkin Garden as a set due for launch next year. The build was previously-rumoured to be part of a huge number of polybag releases said to be on the way in 2024, but at the time no theme was linked to the model.
While images of the LEGO Animal Crossing set have yet to appear, we do at least have some idea of what to expect from Maple’s minifigure. In the Animal Crossing games the character is a brown bear cub, who sometimes wears glasses, and most recently sported a jumper with a green pine tree print in New Horizons. The character has appeared in every Animal Crossing title to date, which should make her a popular choice with fans of the game.
The product name for 30662 Maple’s Pumpkin Garden may also suggests a potential outdoor theme with brick-built pumpkins and gardening tool accessories as part of the build, although that's pure speculation on our part for now.
Beyond the initial listing, no additional details regarding 30662 Maple’s Pumpkin Garden have been released, but it’s possible first images of the promotional polybag may be incoming soon.
