Time is running out to get ready for the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 7 and be in with a chance at designing an official set.
It's not just LEGO Ideas that's giving fans the chance to become a fan designer anymore as the latest series of the BrickLink Designer Program is once again offering enthusiasts a similar opportunity. Though they'll be in much more limited numbers, five builds in Series 7 will become future LEGO BrickLink sets.
After the last six series, the seventh is going to start accepting submissions in a couple of days. January 20 will mark the start of the entry intake period and allow 11 days to submit your designs. That said, you should allow at least a day before the end of entry intake in case you need to amend your model and resubmit.
The usual period of crowd support will follow next in February before the designs are announced in March after the expert review. There are some notable new guidelines to be aware of too and we'd recommend reading up on the new requirements before you get started on your model.
As well as the end of Series 7's submission period, BrickLink has a busy period ahead including the start of the 25th-anniversary celebrations. In early February, pre-orders for the Series 4 sets will open as part of the crowdfunding with the final designs being recently revealed too.
