Rumoured final update for LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary minifigures surfaces

We may now know every LEGO Star Wars 25th-anniversary minifigure as rumours posit the biggest change yet, clarifying an important detail.

Redditor Clay_Bricks reports (via Brick Clicker) that the rumoured LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary minifigure line-up is now completely known and there's been a huge shift in the collection should the report be accurate.

Following rumours of 75396 Escape from the Sarlacc Pit last week and a May the 4th poster featuring an official minifigure design for Nien Nunb that artist Joe Hogan has been teasing to show up, it's now believed that the character will physically debut in 75396 Escape from the Sarlacc Pit. This part of the rumour comes from Max Baut on YouTube.

While this remains a rumour at the time of writing and should be taken with caution, this could mean that we know the set and identity of every 25th anniversary minifigure, and there's been a significant change beyond the addition of Nien Nunb.

It's now believed that the rumoured R2-KT figure will not be a full 25th-anniversary minifigure, but still be displayed on a base. The set that the droid is rumoured to feature in is said to be exclusive to LEGO stores and considered an unofficial part of the collection along with Darth Maul from the LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary Updated Edition, available now.

That keeps the collection to six characters as officially confirmed on the online store, but with two additional characters that can be considered part of the range. Their unofficial consideration is believed to be because R2-KT is reportedly not being as widely released and in a set that is only available for a limited time.

Maul's reported exclusion from the official collection makes more sense as the minifigure is based on the classic design of his minifigure much like the 20th-anniversary figures and there is no included base in the book.

Still, the likes of Cal Kestis, Nien Nunb and young Leia are all minifigures that we likely wouldn't receive under any circumstances other than the 25th anniversary of the theme. None of these minifigures aside from Darth Malak, Saw Gerrera and Fives have been confirmed at the time of writing and we'd advise taking everything you've read with caution until more is confirmed.

Despite this caution, it could be an especially exciting year to be a LEGO Star Wars enthusiast. May the 4th 2024 is approaching too and you can find out everything we know about this year's event by clicking here.
