Esmee Kosterman has unveiled a first look at her very own colourful LEGO helmet, although it’s not a brick-built version like recent reveals.
LEGO Editions added two new Formula 1 sets to its line-up last week in the shape of 43014 Scuderia Ferrari HP Charles Leclerc Helmet and 43022 Scuderia Ferrari HP Lewis Hamilton Helmet. Now, following the footsteps of that pair of upcoming models and what may be an AI-generated image of a third build, comes yet another LEGO F1 helmet design, but this time it’s not brick-built.
F1 ACADEMY premiere driver Esmee Kosterman has taken to social media to show off her colourful new headgear for this season, one that boasts all kinds of personal details and even specific references to the LEGO Group itself.
On a recent Instagram post, Esmee revealed just what her physical racing helmet looks like, one that matches the livery of her real-life car and that of 77258 F1 ACADEMY LEGO Race Car, a 201-piece LEGO Speed Champions set that launched on March 1, 2026.
Esmee’s helmet was delivered to her in a custom LEGO box and boasts multicoloured bricks tumbling down that represent speed and wind, as well as the Dutch flag, Dutch lion and a tinted visor complete with printed minifigure eyes and eyelashes.
In addition, the F1 ACADEMY helmet also features a ‘Built to race’ quote, sparkly glitter lines that always appear on Esmee’s headgear, and the number ‘32’, which is a reference to the year the LEGO Group was founded.

That same number also pops up on 77258 F1 ACADEMY LEGO Race Car’s minifigure, all but confirming that the character must be based on Esmee Kosterman herself, despite not being named as such in the LEGO Speed Champions set.
Racing fans can get their hands on 77258 F1 ACADEMY LEGO Race Car right now, with the LEGO Speed Champions model priced at £22.99 in the UK, $27.99 in the US and from €27.99 in Europe.
