New York's Empire State Building has joined in the LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary fun with a massive minifigure-focused exhibition.
The 80th floor of the 102-floor Empire State Building has dedicated its space to the LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary, with life-sized brick-built versions of iconic Star Wars characters like Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and Darth Maul. Perhaps most excitingly for LEGO Star Wars collectors, there's a massive collection of what appears to be every Star Wars minifigure released to date – a number that's well over 1,200 at this point.
All of this comes as part of a wider Star Wars celebration throughout the building, which saw Star Wars-themed light shows and even a screening of The Empire Strikes Back. Hayden Christensen visited the Empire State Building last month when it opened, walking through dedicated Anakin Skywalker exhibits.
"We are so pleased to unite Star Wars fans in New York City and throughout the world with this epic trip to a galaxy far, far away….,” said Jean-Yves Ghazi, president of the Empire State Building Observatory. “This one-of-a-kind takeover at the ‘World’s Most Famous Building’ allows fans to come face to face with pop culture’s most iconic villains in an authentic New York City way.”
This isn't the first time that the Empire State Building has teamed up with LEGO Star Wars, having collaborated for Christmas decorations back in 2020.
You can visit the exhibition for yourself until April 29 by buying a ticket for access to the Empire State Building.
