Duck Family LEGO gift-with-purchase revealed

A brand-new LEGO gift-with-purchase has been revealed, as 40885 Duck Family waddles onto the scene with a fairy tale tribute.

The official online store has been updated with a listing for the 40885 Duck Family gift-with-purchase. The 262-piece model depicts a family of ducks, consisting of one mother, a trio of ducklings, and a cattail plant on the side.

The Creator model is listed as a gift-with-purchase, following in the footsteps of 40691 Mythical Pegasus, 40763 Children’s Day Teddy Bear, and many more sets. Like those other gifts, 40885 Duck Family cannot be rebuilt into two other models. That's at least not with instructions in the box.

40885 Duck Family's mother duck features folding legs to depict her swimming in a pond, and there's a space for one of the three ducklings to sit on her back. Those three ducklings are not the same colour, one is coloured white. This seems likely to be a reference to the Ugly Duckling fairy tale.

There's no confirmation of when this gift-with-purchase will be offered or what the threshold needed to acquire it will be. The current LEGO gift-with-purchase is the return of 30701 Field Flowers until February 14 with orders of £35 / $40 / €40. Whether this gift will start after that is unknown.
