Custom LEGO Star Wars Ahsoka minifigure is perfect but risky

A custom LEGO Star Wars Ahsoka minifigure is a near-perfect rendition of the character, but it's not without some risk for a valuable brick.

Instagram user kishalego seems to be excited about Ahsoka's release on Disney+ on August 23, using pieces from two LEGO Star Wars sets to make a custom minifigure of the character that blends the best of both.

The minifigure combines Ahsoka from the retired 75158 Rebel Combat Frigate and the upcoming 75362 Ahsoka Tano's T-6 Jedi Shuttle. It uses the torso and legs from the older minifigure with the arms, head and lekku of the newer depiction, with a custom cape and accessory for a specific callback.

There's little doubt that this is a great recreation of the character, but there's risk involved for those that wish to make it for themselves. 75158 Rebel Combat Frigate is retired and a sealed copy will set you back an average of £323.13 on BrickLink. The minifigure alone is worth £199.81 and the torso goes for £64.05.

Given that you'll need to remove the arms from the old torso, and insert the pair from the new minifigure, there's a chance that you could crack the brick in the process. That could result in a costly and rare replacement.

Provided you can accept the risk and still wish to make your own custom LEGO Star Wars Ahsoka minifigure, you'll need the retired 75158 Rebel Combat Frigate as well as the upcoming 75362 Ahsoka Tano's T-6 Jedi Shuttle. It's one of three Ahsoka sets launching on September 1, some of which are available to pre-order now depending on your region.
