Captain Rex is back in
Minisuperheroestoday has managed to gather every Captain Rex minifigure and compared them to see what has changed and what has stayed the same across over a decade of LEGO Star Wars. This does not include the older minifigure from 2016's 75157 Captain Rex's AT-TE, likely due to its major differences in design.
The minifigures are taken from 2008's 7675 AT-TE Walker (the depiction of which can also be found in 2011's 7869 Battle for Geonosis), 2013's 75012 BARC Speeder with Sidecar and the upcoming
The 2008 minifigure is based on Captain Rex in his phase one armour and is not quite as comparable with the other two minifigures. The same shade of blue is used across all three though.
The 2013 and 2023 minifigures are much more comparable with the most notable difference being the dirt present in the 2013 armour in contrast to the clean printing in
The Pauldron on the 2023 minifigure appears to be a vast improvement with the blue colouration at the side of the fabric being much less noticeable than it was in 2013. The presence of arm printing instead of plain blue arms is likely going to increase the appeal of the 2023 minifigure too. The helmets are surprisingly similar but the blue design on the 2013 minifigure is much more pointed and seemingly less accurate.
