The LEGO Group has finally brought us a new post-Clone Wars Ahsoka Tano minifigure in

This newer variant is based on the character’s live-action design in The Mandalorian and Ahsoka rather than her animated design in Star Wars Rebels, so while she’s wearing a similarly grey outfit, there are some pretty major differences between the two minifigures – the most obvious being that she has much shorter lekku in the newer set, reflective of her on-screen design. Ahsoka’s head tails were shortened for live action, with ‘consideration for stunts and movement’, says Lucasfilm character concept designer Brian Matyas.
Beyond that physical change (which incorporates a brand new piece), the new minifigure is way more detailed than its predecessor, boasting not only printed arms – with grey on orange, rather than solid grey – but also foot printing. Her head is double-sided, meanwhile, with both smirking and ferocious expressions, and together all these changes add up to exactly the kind of minifigure you’d expect from LEGO Star Wars in 2023.
There’s one last improvement to the new Ahsoka, though, and it’s long overdue: her lightsaber blades are trans-clear, reusing a piece first introduced in 71395 Super Mario 64 Question Mark Block in 2021. That’s a much closer adaptation of the character’s dual white lightsabers than we’ve seen previously, and far more appropriate than the blue blades in 75158 Rebel Combat Frigate.
