The best and worst of June 2025's LEGO minifigures

There are dozens of new LEGO minifigures with all kinds of new pieces launching next month, but some are executed better than others.

With a great many new LEGO models launching later this week, an even greater number of new minifigures are joining them on shelves, ready for fans to collect and populate their collections. While we wait for the major launches on Sunday, we're focusing on just the new minifigures to see what's worth picking up and what might need a second thought.

Here are some of the best and worst minifigures up for grabs soon and why they're ranked as such, based on our subjective opinions.

Bluey

Bluey reviews 06 1024x683

Bluey's cast of new minifigures still looks unsettling the more we look at them. The animated character's cylindrical shapes don't translate perfectly to minifigures as discussed in our recent review of the theme's first wave. They're certainly not the worst new minifigures, but they're going to take some getting used to.

Kraken Knight

LEGO Ideas 21358 kraken knight

There are lots of new minifigures to love in 21358 Minifigure Vending Machine, but it's the new Kraken Knights that have caught our eye. The newest castle faction is considerably more seafaring than usual, and this allows for a unique colour scheme with a dash of seafoam green that blends perfectly with the multi-armed emblem.

Sideshow Bob

LEGO Icons 10352 The Simpsons Krusty Burger review 35 1024x683

Sideshow Bob in 10352 The Simpsons: Krusty Burger suffers from too small a head element. His hair isn't quite as full as it needs to be, and with a wider neck, there's something off about LEGO Sideshow Bob. He's still a welcome addition to the upcoming The Simpsons set, but it is evidence that some minifigures need much bigger elements to look accurate. You can take a closer look at this minifigure in our review.

Plo Koon

LEGO Star Wars 75400 Plo Koons Jedi Starfighter Microfighter review 8 1024x683

Plo Koon is back in the affordable LEGO Star Wars 75400 Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter Microfighter, and this updated version is far more accurate to the character than ever before. In case the price of £12.99 / $14.99 / €14.99 wasn't tempting enough, there are more than enough reasons to pick up 75400 Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter Microfighter in this minifigure alone.

Beach Bomber

lego 77076 beach bomber

After both a Brite Bomber BrickHeadz and a minifigure of the base outfit in 77073 Battle Bus, receiving another variant of this outfit in 77076 Durrr Burger Restaurant is disappointing to see when there are so many other original Fortnite designs to cover as physical minifigures. The minifigure itself isn't bad, but it's just too familiar to something that's still on shelves.

Astrid

lego 71500 astrid

Astrid finally has a creatively inspired LEGO DREAMZzz minifigure in 71500 Nightmare Shark Submarine, moving up from her basic minifigure in 71478 The Never Witch's Midnight Raven. With Astrid seemingly joining the theme's team, it only makes sense for her to receive an elegant upgrade complete with a new hair element.

Dimensional Defender

lego 21279 nick bluetooth

LEGO Minecraft earns a spot on this list thanks to 21279 The Enderman Tower and its Dimensional Defender minifigure. In case the name wasn't clear, this is almost certainly a reference to Galidor's Nick Bluetooth. The minifigure itself is nothing special, but this Easter egg to one of the LEGO Group's most memorable themes is an excellent pick for this list.

Professor Kettleburn

lego 76454 kettleburn

Rounding out our selection is another great minifigure. 76454 Hogwarts Castle: The Main Tower's Professor Kettleburn minifigure might not be a character that you visually recognise. While this character was first mentioned in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, they first appeared in the Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery mobile game, which this minifigure appears to be based on. It's a niche minifigure with a simple, but effective design that is worthy of a spot in the huge Hogwarts set.
