Best deals on the LEGO Marvel sets you need before the X-Mansion arrives

LEGO Marvel’s X-Mansion is right around the corner, and you can prepare by catching up on the sets made to complement the new modular building. Here are the best deals you’ll find on them right now.

The LEGO Group is donning the spandex again for its superhero modular building range in November, embracing mutant-kind in 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion. And whether you already have one or two Marvel modulars and want to catch up on the rest, or are just keen to dip your toes into the pool with the advent of the X-Men, we’ve rounded up the best deals on all the mansion’s current companion sets.

76178 Daily Bugle – 2x points and GWP

The first LEGO Marvel modular building debuted in 2021 and is relatively hard to come by outside of LEGO.com. That means discounts on 76178 Daily Bugle are few and far between, but until October 20 you can benefit from double Insiders points – equivalent to 10% cashback to spend on future purchases, so £30 / $35 / €35 in this case – and a free copy of 40696 Bakery when buying it from the official online store.

This towering skyscraper includes a medley of Spider-Man heroes and villains and remains one of the most applauded sets in the superhero range, so should really be your first port of call if you’re starting this series from scratch. That is unless you want them all and don’t yet have the next entry on this list…

76218 Sanctum Sanctorum – 25% off

76218 Sanctum Sanctorum launched a year after 76178 Daily Bugle but is already on the way out, slated for retirement by the end of 2024. That means the LEGO Group and other retailers are basically just selling through the rest of their stock, and once it’s gone, it’s gone. Which is actually the case right now in most places, but John Lewis does have it for 25% off, bringing the Multiverse of Madness/Infinity War set down to just £161.24 from its RRP of £214.99.

Otherwise, your best bet is probably double points and 40696 Bakery at LEGO.com. That goes for the US too. Just remember to get your skates on for this one before it sells out everywhere…

76269 Avengers Tower – 2x points and GWP

Last year’s 76269 Avengers Tower is the biggest and most expensive LEGO Marvel modular yet, and frustratingly it seems to be entirely exclusive to LEGO.com in the UK (save for Disney Store, which rarely runs sales). Here again then you’re best off making the most of double points at LEGO.com, where you can score £43 / $50 / €50 back until October 20. That’s a decent chunk of change to put towards 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion when it launches in November.

You’ll also get 40696 Bakery, which is available until October 25 or while stocks last. The microscale shop is free with all orders above £180 / $200 / €200.

76281 X-Men X-Jet – 35% off

All of 76281 X-Men X-Jet’s characters are repeated in 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion, but this January 2024 set’s unique Magneto minifigure is still worth a look. What you’re really coming to this set for though is the jet itself, which is down to nearly its best price yet at Amazon UK right now. It usually retails for an exorbitant £74.99, but you can pick it up for just £48.45 – or 35% off.

That’s really not a bad way to prepare for the X-Mansion, and while there’s no secret opening in the ground to conceal the jet, it should still look pretty super on your shelf alongside the building.

76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion launches for LEGO Insiders on November 1 for £289.99 / $329.99 / €329.99. It will then go on wider sale at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores on November 4. Early adopters will receive a free copy of 5009015 Cerebro until November 7, or while stocks last.
