Asterix and Obelix get a third chance at a LEGO Ideas set

One LEGO Ideas fan won't give up on their dreams of an Asterix and Obelix set, getting to 10,000 supporters for a third time.

KyriakosBuilder is back in a LEGO Ideas review round with their third attempt at an official Asterix and Obelix model. Their previous submissions include a similar project from 2021 and another in 2023, both of which were not approved for an official set in their respective review rounds.

The project is based on a French comic series, which has since become a movie franchise, about a Gaulish village which uses a magic potion that enhances strength to resist Julius Caesar's forces.

Their latest attempt consists of Asterix's hut, Obelix's hut, the tree hut of Cacofonix, and some side builds to expand the scene. At least 11 minifigures are proposed to cover the most iconic characters from the comics series.

This submission joins the third 2025 review now that it has reached 10,000 supporters, sitting alongside 42 other projects whose builders are all hoping to be selected for a LEGO Ideas set. Click here for a reminder of what is currently in production at LEGO Ideas.
