We’ve had a few models for the 1989 / 1992 Batmobile with one more in 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box, offering an interesting comparison.
76252 Batcave – Shadow Box has now been revealed, including yet another build for the 1989 / 1992 era Batmobile. However, the scale of this vehicle iteration isn’t quite as massive as 76139 1989 Batmobile, more in-line with 40433 1989 Batmobile - Limited Edition.
At first glance, both Batmobiles are similar in design but looking closely, there are several differences between them. 40433 1989 Batmobile - Limited Edition uses a more common windshield element while 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box’s vehicle opts for a curved brick instead.
The main feature of the two models is the guns, which are static using stud shooters in 40433 1989 Batmobile - Limited Edition. While they are less functional, the guns in 76252 Batcave – Shadow Box’s Batmobile flip up out of the vehicle, shoving a pair of pieces aside in the process.
The knob to activate the feature in the new vehicle is prominently featured on the side, slightly ruining the otherwise sleek design.
The grey barrels in 40433 1989 Batmobile - Limited Edition are gone in the new Batmobile, with black pieces used instead in a more accurate move from the design team.
The interior of the new Batmobile has yet to be revealed, though there’s not too much room to work with, especially when compared to 40433 1989 Batmobile - Limited Edition.
76252 Batcave – Shadow Box will be available early for VIP members from June 5, with a wide release for everyone from June 8. You can pick it up for £344.99 / $399.99 / €399.99. Check out our visual guide by clicking here.
