It's not common that we get a range of linked LEGO gift-with-purchases and it's even rarer that two arrive in one year with likely high thresholds.
40680 Flower Store was revealed earlier today, confirmed as the first of four promotional sets that can be displayed together, similar to the Houses of the World collection from 2023. This isn't the only collection of promotional models likely coming this year though, making for a costly year for collectors. The set features 338 pieces.
The official product page for
40703 Micro NINJAGO City's value of £14.99 and 339 pieces infers that it could come with a similarly high threshold whenever it and the rest of the NINJAGO range are available. A release at some point in 2024 seems likely given that the first two sets have already been revealed.
That's assuming that all four of the NINJAGO models are offered as GWPs, and not split into a mix of gifts and LEGO Insiders Rewards, which might make it just as if not more expensive to collect the set. Either way, it could be a costly year for LEGO collectors with the shop and micro NINJAGO collections, provided the rumour for 40680 Flower Store is accurate. Consider that 40712 Micro Rocket Launchpad sold out quickly and is commanding high prices on the aftermarket too.
40680 Flower Store is the same scale as the Houses of the World GWPs and it may be enticing to combine all eight sets when they have all been released.
